About the Author: Jason Stanley

Jason Stanley is an American author and public intellectual. He is currently the Jacob Urowsky Professor of Philosophy at Yale University, but is slated to move to the University of Toronto. Among the titles he’s authored is the bestselling How Propaganda Works, which went on to win a PROSE Award. In 2025, he announced his family’s relocation to Canada, citing the political climate in the United States and a desire to raise his children in what he described as “conditions of freedom.”
