This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Duck and His Friends Technology Co. ("Company," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use AudiobookHub (the "Services"), including our website and, when available, our mobile applications.

1) Information We Collect

A) Information You Provide

• Account information: such as email address and login credentials when you create an account
• Support communications: information you provide when contacting customer support or sending feedback

B) Information Collected Automatically

• Device and usage data: such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, app version, browser type, pages/screens viewed, timestamps, and interaction events
• Cookies and similar technologies: used for essential functionality and analytics (see Section 5)

C) Subscription and Payment Information (When Available)

• Website payments (PayPal): If subscriptions are offered on the website, payments are processed by PayPal. We receive limited information such as transaction status, subscription plan, and billing state. We do not receive full payment card details.
• iOS In-App Subscriptions (Apple IAP): If subscriptions are offered in our iOS app, Apple processes all payments. We receive limited information such as subscription status, product identifiers (e.g., monthly or yearly plan), and expiration state. We do not receive Apple ID, payment method, or card details.

2) How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
• Enable subscription access and restore purchases
• Personalize content and improve product performance
• Monitor usage, diagnose issues, and improve reliability
• Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse
• Communicate with you about updates, support requests, and policy changes

3) How We Share Information

We may share information only with:

• Service providers that support core operations (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing), under contractual confidentiality obligations
• Legal or safety disclosures when required by law or necessary to protect users, the Company, or the Services
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with appropriate safeguards)

The current service providers integrated into the iOS app include:

• Apple — In-App Purchase processing
• Adapty — subscription management and entitlement validation
• Google Firebase (Analytics, Cloud Messaging) — product analytics and push notifications
• Google Sign-In — sign-in with Google account (when chosen by the user)
• Meta (Facebook) SDK — install and event attribution for our advertising campaigns
• TikTok Business SDK — install and event attribution for our advertising campaigns

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. The Meta and TikTok SDKs are used so that we can measure the effectiveness of advertising we run on those platforms; under U.S. state privacy laws (including California) this activity may be considered "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising." You can opt out by declining the App Tracking Transparency permission prompt the first time you launch the app, or at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → AudiobookHub. When tracking is declined, the app does not pass identifiers used for cross-app/site advertising to these SDKs.

4) App Privacy Disclosures (Apple)

If we publish a mobile app on Apple platforms, we provide accurate App Privacy Details in App Store Connect, including disclosures related to:

• Data collected by the app and integrated SDKs
• Purposes of data use (e.g., app functionality, analytics)
• Whether data is linked to the user or device

Specifically, the iOS app declares collection of the following data categories: email address, user identifier, device identifier, purchase history, customer support communications, product interactions, advertising data, crash data, and performance data. Some of this data (device identifier, product interactions, advertising data) is used for measuring the effectiveness of our advertising on third-party platforms and is therefore declared as "Used to Track You" in App Store Connect. Tracking is only enabled when you grant the App Tracking Transparency permission.

We keep these disclosures up to date as required by Apple.

5) Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website for essential site functionality and analytics.

Website (Google Analytics): We currently use Google Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the Services. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tool:

Mobile App: The iOS app integrates the following analytics and attribution SDKs:

• Google Firebase Analytics — first-party usage events such as screen views, content interactions, and subscription lifecycle events.
• Meta (Facebook) SDK and TikTok Business SDK — install and event attribution so that we can measure how effective our advertising campaigns on those platforms are. These SDKs may receive your device identifier (IDFA) and event data when you grant the App Tracking Transparency permission.

The first time you open the app we present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the app will not share identifiers used for cross-app or cross-website advertising with Meta or TikTok. You can change your choice at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → AudiobookHub.

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6) Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide and operate the Services
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
• Maintain security and prevent abuse

7) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Request access to personal information
• Request correction or deletion
• Request data portability
• Object to or withdraw consent where applicable

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents may have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Sale/Share: We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, our use of the Meta and TikTok SDKs to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on those platforms may qualify as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under California law. To opt out, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time you launch the iOS app, or change the setting at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → AudiobookHub. You may also email alexwang@audiobookhub.net with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and we will honor your request.

9) Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10) International Transfers

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate.

11) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date and post the revised version on this page. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
