Reinforce what you learned from The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
Carl and Princess Donut have survived hunters, gods, and the dungeon’s sadistic games, but skipping the seventh floor only drops them into a stranger nightmare. The eighth floor recreates cities from Earth as living memories, complete with intangible ghosts, physical wreckage, regional monsters, and carefully chosen reminders of everything the crawlers have lost.
This time, survival is a card game with lethal consequences. Each squad must capture six creatures and transform them into reusable T’Ghee totems before a second phase begins. Donut gains command of the deck, Carl gains devastating new abilities, and their search for powerful allies leads through haunted Havana, warring monsters, restless gods, and crawler teams whose loyalties may be more dangerous than their weapons.
Then Samantha points them toward Shi Maria, the Bedlam Bride: a colossal spider demi-god capable of permanent blindness, insanity, and deception. Capturing her could make the Ghosts of Earth nearly unstoppable. Trusting her could destroy them. Meanwhile, Odette’s buried history, Katia’s impossible predicament, and the approaching ninth-floor war tighten the trap around everyone Carl refuses to abandon.
